Is capped composite decking the same as co-extrusion WPC decking?

What is the difference between capped and traditional WPC decking?
Traditional WPC decking exposes the wood-plastic composite material directly at the surface. Capped WPC decking adds a protective polymer layer over the composite core, which can improve stain resistance, surface protection, cleaning convenience and color stability.
Is capped composite decking waterproof?
