WPC decking cannot be properly installed without a joist system.
5. Can WPC Decking Be Installed Directly on the Ground?
No, it is strongly not recommended.
Installing directly on the ground may cause:
- Poor drainage and water accumulation;
- Lack of ventilation, leading to mold and deformation;
- No expansion space, resulting in warping or cracking.
The WPC decking must be installed on a joist system with proper clearance from the ground.
